Staff and Residents from the Wrexham Foyer, a Supported Living Project for homeless young people managed by Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, part of the Pennaf Housing Group raised £125 towards the cost of a conference training day by packing shopping at Somerfield in Gwersyllt recently. The young people also gave out eco-friendly Pennaf shopping bags to customers and information about the Clwyd Alyn Schemes. Pictured are residents Kayleigh Williams, left and Lyndsey Phillips. Staff from the Customer Contact Centre at the Pennaf Housing Group, Head Office on the business park in St Asaph have been raising money for a local children’s hospice by raffling zoo tickets and baking cakes to sell to colleagues. But just in case staff were feeling that supporting such a good cause might have a detrimental effect on their waistlines, the team then arranged a sponsored ‘calorie burn’ by organising a marathon session on an exercise bike in the office, keeping it spinning from 8 am until 6 pm. So far they’ve raised £354 for the Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice in the Conwy Valley.

A total of £83 was made on the day which was donated to a Breast Cancer charity.
